Cafe Retro

Yes! Cafe Retro is where you need to go if you’re in Copenhagen! It’s a lovely non-profit coffee shop that brings back memories of secret lofts (even if those never existed in the first place), but that’s not the reason people come back and back again. The reason for that is different, but how can I explain it properly…? I’ll try with this: imagine a party. It’s before the time where everyone is really drunk, but past being sober. It’s that moment where the things we say are still genuine and where embarrassment hasn’t become an integrated part of our being. We meet old friends and we remember their voices when they start to speak. We meet new people, and we recognize them as new friends. That’s why I love Café Retro; because it always feels like that. The light is dim, and when you enter that front door it suddenly feels like we are all in this together. No less.

On a sidenote; ever wondered how cool people are in Copenhagen? Take an always amazing streetstyle, a little bit of DJ'ing and all-together awesomeness and you get this guy who is the epitome of what young Copenhagen boys look like:
